Word cannot start the converter mswrd632

I am using Oracle, and reports are seen using Microsoft Word. When setup was not done properly, an error message word cannot start the converter mswrd632 was displayed. See the picture below.

The solution was to go to Microsoft website and search for mswrd632, as the picture below.

Selecting the second article above, will bring you to a page where you can read about this problem and its solution. You can either fix it manually or use the Fixit feature. If you scroll through the page, you will find a Fixit button (icon) as below.

Just click on the Fixit button, and you will get the dialog box below.

Click Run to fix the problem. If you see the security warning dialog box below, click Run again.

The next dialog from Fixit application will appear as below.

Check the I agree box, and click Next> button to run Fixit.

If you still open any of Microsoft Office applications other than Word, you will get a dialog box notifying you all the applications that need to be closed as below.

Mine above showing that I have Word and Outlook applications opened. You need to close the related applications and click on Try Again button. Sometimes when you close an application, somehow it still open. I had problem with my word. Even though I had closed Word, I still have the dialog box below indicating that Word is still active.

When this happens you will have to close the application manually through task manager. press CTRL-ALT-DEL and select Task Manager.

See the screen below on the left part. Open the Processes tab on your task manager window. You will have to select the program and click on End Process button. For Word the program is called WINWORD.EXE.

Once it is closed, you will need to go back to the Fixit dialog (the right part on the above) and click Try Again button.

Fixit will now run normally, and you will not get the error message again.
